Privacy Policy

Version 2.4.0·Effective 15 May 2026·Document id privacy

The same text the app shows under Settings → Legal & privacy, at the same version. Your acceptance is recorded against this document id and version, so a version change here is a version the app asks you to accept again.

01Collection & purpose

We collect only what the service needs. Each category below states what it is and why it is necessary.

Account data
A device-derived account identifier, your date of birth and your display name — to create your account, enforce the 18+ age gate and keep you signed in. The identifier we store is a salted hash; we do not receive or keep the raw hardware value, and the same device under a different app is a different account rather than a way to follow you between apps.
Recovery phone number (optional)
If you choose to link one under Account & security, we keep it so you can sign back into the same account on a new device. It is stored on a private record, is never part of your public profile, and no phone number is required to use Wesala.
Profile data
Avatar, display name, bio, languages, region and the interests you pick from our list — to build your profile and to match you in Discover. We do not publish your date of birth and we do not ask for your address.
Identity verification
For creator access, a compliant third party collects document and liveness data for real-name checks and fraud prevention. We receive only the verdict and a graded badge. We never store document images.
Chat & interaction data
Direct messages, room and live messages, voice notes, images, and the rooms you host or join — to deliver messages, moderate content and investigate safety incidents.
Device & diagnostic data
Device model, OS version, sign-in region, app version and crash logs — for risk control, unusual sign-in detection and fixing faults.
Transaction data
App-store order references, coin amounts, gift records and your balance — for reconciliation, refund assistance and spend-cap enforcement. We never receive or store your card details.
Safety data
Reports you file, reports about you, moderation decisions, appeals, blocks and the evidence attached to a case.

02Retention & deletion

Retention
Each category is kept only as long as the purposes above require. Report evidence is kept no longer than 180 days; identity-verification verdicts for 180 days.
Moderation and recordings
Public voice rooms and live sessions are sampled and patrolled, and material may be retained where a report or investigation needs it — for the life of the case plus its appeal window. Reviewers see only what the decision requires.
Deletion
You can delete your account yourself under Account & security → Delete account. The screen lists what is removed — profile, relationships, content and interactions, chats and files, balance and transactions, status and entitlements — before you confirm. A cancellation window follows, which you can use to back out; at the end of it, deletion is irreversible.
Legal retention
Payment records, risk-control records and security incident logs are retained as required by law, and are not shared during that period.
Anonymisation
Data used for statistics and safety-model improvement is de-identified so it cannot be linked directly to you.

03Sharing & cross-border

Recipients
Compliant identity-verification providers, cloud and object-storage providers, content-moderation providers, app-store payment channels, and regulators where legally required.
Purpose
Only to provide the service, verify identity, prevent fraud, moderate content, settle payments and comply with law. Providers act on our instructions, are bound by contract, and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Cross-border
Some cloud and moderation services sit outside the launch region. Contractual terms and security assessments keep protection at least equal to this policy.
No sale
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party ad targeting.

04Your rights

Access & correction
View and correct your profile in Edit profile. For full access, open a privacy ticket under Help & feedback.
Export
Before deletion you can request a copy of your data inside the deletion flow. We build it after verifying you own the account and send a safety notice when it is ready to download.
Deletion
You can request deletion to the extent applicable law allows — see section 2.
Withdraw consent
Notification categories and system permissions are changeable at any time under Permissions. Some features stop working once the relevant permission is withdrawn.
Complaints
For privacy matters write to sorenperalta262@icloud.com, or file a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to certain processing or to have it restricted.

05Versions

Version log
This policy's version, effective date and change summary are kept in the app, together with the record of your acceptance.
Change notice
Material changes are announced by safety notice before they take effect, and re-confirmation is requested before your next interaction.
