01Never allowed
The following is prohibited in text, images, voice notes, voice rooms and live streams alike. It is actioned on discovery — not after a warning — and may be referred to the authorities.
- Sexual content
- Nudity, sexual acts, solicitation and overt sexual innuendo. An 18+ rating is not a licence for pornography.
- Gambling
- Promoting, organising or teaching gambling and betting, or running a book.
- Fraud
- Scams, fake identities, fake investments, pressure to transfer money, and order-faking.
- Hate & discrimination
- Inciting hate, or personal attacks based on religion, ethnicity, gender, region and similar characteristics.
- Risk to minors
- Sexualised content involving minors, grooming, or anything harmful to their wellbeing.
- Violence & contraband
- Violent threats, terrorist propaganda, and drug or weapon trading.
02Interaction standards
- Respect boundaries
- Respect other people's message and invite settings. No repeated harassment and no block evasion.
- Room order
- Follow the host's house rules. Hosts and admins may mute, unseat or remove members.
- Privacy
- Do not publish anyone else's contact details, address or documents.
- Authenticity
- Do not impersonate Wesala, another person or an organisation.
03Content levels
Every room, stream and profile carries a level, and your own setting decides what reaches you.
- General
- Public content suitable for all adult users. This is the default.
- Teen
- Mild adult topics. You have to widen your visible level explicitly to see it.
- 18+
- Visible only where local law allows and the account has cleared the age check.
04Moderation & enforcement
- Machine review
- Photos, display names, bios, text, images and voice notes are screened automatically before publication. A changed public profile field is reviewed before it appears.
- Human review
- Suspected violations enter a human queue. The verdict and its basis are recorded.
- Live patrol
- Voice rooms and live streams are sampled and patrolled in real time. Rooms disclose this on entry.
- Escalation
- By severity: limited delivery → removal → mute → removal from a room → creator restriction → account termination.
- Appeals
- Each eligible decision can be appealed once, and the outcome arrives as a safety notice.
05Reporting & protection
- How to report
- Use the safety menu on a card, room, chat or profile. The related content and timestamp are attached automatically, so you do not have to describe what you saw from memory.
- Instant protection
- While reporting you can also block the person, mute the content or leave the room in the same step.
- Reporter protection
- The reported party never sees who reported them.
- Tracking
- Your reports are listed in the in-app Safety centre with their state: accepted, reviewing, actioned or closed.
- Emergencies
- If you are in immediate physical danger, contact your local emergency services first. Wesala is not an emergency service.
