Wesala18+

Adults only · 18+

Community rooms, and people who share what you like.

Wesala puts two things next to each other: a room built around a topic, and a discovery feed built from the interests you pick rather than from whoever paid the most to reach you.

Rooms are text and images — there is no audio or video anywhere in the app. Our filter reads text, and only text our own users type: the photo on a creator room is not screened before you see it. Images are handled after the fact: report one, or block and mute immediately. Most rooms come from our wider network rather than from Wesala users, so they are 18+ only and each says so on entry.

Text is screened before it is sent; images are handled when they are reported. Blocking works the moment you tap it, and every enforcement decision can be appealed once, to a person.

01What you can do

Join or host a community room

Rooms carry a topic, a language, a region and a content level. The host sets house rules and hands out seats. You can block or mute anyone at any time, and it takes effect immediately.

Take a seat on the stage

A seat puts your photo on the stage; talking happens in the room’s text chat. Which seats are filled is decided by the server, not the app — so someone the server refused never appears up there.

Be found by interest

Pick interests, languages and regions once. Discover mixes rooms and people against them, and you can tell it to show fewer of something.

Say thank you

Gifts run on coins, bought as a consumable in-app purchase from the App Store or Google Play. A gift is spent when sent — it is not a balance you can withdraw.

Chat on your own terms

Who may message you and who may invite you are separate settings: everyone, people you follow, mutual follows, or nobody. Blocking is immediate and one-sided.

Keep a spending limit

Per-purchase and per-cycle caps live in the wallet. Lowering a cap applies at once; raising one asks twice and waits out a cool-down.

02Signing in is a tap, not a form

There is no phone number and no one-time code on the way in. The sign-in screen asks for a date of birth and two consents, and then the device itself is the credential — a salted, hashed identifier, never the raw hardware value.

That is the whole of it: no password, no SMS code, no recovery phone. The trade-off is blunt and we would rather state it here than let you find out the hard way — the account lives on this device only. Factory-reset it, replace it or lose it and the account is gone, along with its balance and history. The app repeats this on the sign-in screen and under Account & security.

The age answer is checked before the account is created, so an adult has confirmed their age at the moment the account comes into existence — not on a later screen.

Age requirement

You must be 18 or over to create an account. If a date of birth under 18 is entered, no account is created — and that answer sticks to the device rather than being retried on the next screen. Accounts later found to belong to a minor are removed.

Mistyped the year? That is a real thing that happens; write to sorenperalta262@icloud.com and a person will look at it.

03How moderation actually runs

  • Display names, bios, direct messages and room text are screened against keyword and pattern rules before they are sent. High-risk matches are blocked or flagged. This covers text only.
  • Images and voice notes are handled on report, not screened up front. The filter above reads text only, so the photo on a creator room is not checked before you see it. Reporting, blocking and muting are the backstop — all three take effect immediately. There are no host moderation tools in this version, so a host cannot mute or eject anyone either. Rooms say so on the way in.
  • A report is recorded with its evidence and given a receipt number. Reports are read by a person and acted on within 24 hours; violating content is removed and the user who posted it is ejected.
  • Blocking and muting take effect immediately, without waiting for us. If someone is harassing you, that is the first thing to reach for.
  • Enforcement follows a published ladder: limited delivery, removal, mute, creator restriction, then termination.
  • Content levels — general, teen and 18+ — gate what you see. You can only filter more strictly than your region requires, never less.

The detail, including what is never allowed anywhere on Wesala, is on the safety page and in the Community Guidelines.

04Becoming a creator

Hosting a room is gated, but let us be exact about what the gate is: there is no human pre-approval. Two steps, and then access is enabled immediately.

1 · Eligibility
18 or over by the date of birth you gave at sign-up, and no active restriction on the account.
2 · Creator guidelines
Five rules to read and confirm one by one: room governance, no-go areas, risk to minors, gift rules and how to handle an emergency mid-session.

We do not screen applicants beforehand, and we say so in the app rather than staging a review queue that does not exist. What you publish once you are hosting is subject to reports and enforcement like anyone else's, and access is withdrawn for violations.

Leaving, and taking your data

Deletion is self-serve, under Profile → Account & security → Delete account. The screen lists exactly what goes — profile, relationships, content, chats, balance and entitlements — before you confirm, and you can request an export of your data inside the same flow.

Deletion runs immediately — there is no cancellation window, so the screen makes you type a confirmation word first. Two things we cannot do, listed on that screen rather than buried here: messages other people sent you belong to them and stay with them, and a narrow set of records is kept where law requires it. See section 2 of the Privacy Policy.

05Need a person?

Reporting, blocking, appealing, deleting and exporting all work inside the app without waiting for us. For everything else — a purchase that did not arrive, a privacy request, a safety concern that cannot go through the app — start on the support page.
